چکیده

A digital soil mapping exercise over a large extent and at a high resolution is a computationally expensive procedure. It may take days or weeks to obtain the final maps and to visually evaluate the prediction models when using a desktop workstation. To increase the speed of time-consuming procedures, the use of supercomputers is a common practice. Google has developed a product specifically designed for mapping purposes (Earth Engine), allowing users to take advantage of its computing power and the mobility of a cloud-based solution. In this work, we explore the feasibility of using this platform for digital soil mapping by presenting two soil mapping examples over the contiguous United States. We also discuss the advantages and limitations of this platform at its current development stage, and potential improvements towards a fully functional cloud-based soil mapping platform. & 2015 Elsevier Ltd. نقشه‌برداری رقومی افق‌های مشخصه و گروه‌های بزرگ خاک در منطقه زرند کرمان

Digital soil mapping includes soils, spatial prediction and their properties based on the relationship with covariates. This study was designed for digital soil mapping using binary logistic regression and boosted regression tree in Zarand region of Kerman. A stratified sampling scheme was adopted for the 90,000 ha area based on which, 123 soil profiles were described. In both approaches, the o...

ارزیابی مدل استنباط خاک (SIE) در نقشه‌برداری خاک با تأکید بر استفاده از دانش کارشناس و منطق فازی (شهرستان جلفا -گلفرج)

One of the problems with the traditional mapping of soils is the expert’s opinion, it time-consuming and timely preparation, and the updating of the maps. While digital soil mapping, using different soil-earth models leads to the simplification of the complexity of the soil system. The purpose of this study was to investigate Soil-Environment Inference (SIE) in soil mapping with an emphasis on ...

Presenting a Morphological Based Approach for Filtering The Point Cloud to Extract the Digital Terrain Model

The Digital terrain model is an important geospatial product used as the basis of many practical projects related to geospatial information. Nowadays, a dense point cloud can be generated using the LiDAR data. Actually, the acquired point cloud of the LiDAR, presents a digital surface model that contains ground and non-ground objects. The purpose of this paper is to present a new approach of ex...

نقشه‎برداری رقومی کلاس‌های خاک با استفاده از نقشه خاک قدیمی در منطقه خشک جنوب شرق ایران

Mapping the spatial distribution of soil taxonomic classes is important for useful and effective use of soil and management decisions. Digital soil mapping (DSM) may have advantages over conventional soil mapping approaches as it may better capture observed spatial variability and reduce the need to aggregate soil types. A key component of any DSM activity is the method used to define the relat...

ارزیابی و بررسی تعمیم‌پذیری مدل استنباطی خاک- سرزمین (SoLIM) در نقشه‌برداری رقومی خاک با استفاده از مدل رقومی ارتفاع و مشتقات آن

Discrete Models of Spatial Variability (DMSV) have limitations for soil identification in traditional soil maps. New approaches, generally called digital soil mapping (DSM), using continuous methods (CMSV), try to predict soil classes or soil properties based on easily-available environmental variables. The objective of this study was to map the soil classes of the Borujen area, Chaharmahal-va-...
